VPRAŠANJE Dear Customer,
We would appreciate your responses on the following questions:
Question 1: Section 5.3 provides detailed information about the drums (210 and 120 liters) to be used for conditioning secondary waste. In the section it is said that second-hand contaminated drums have being used in other occasions. Additionally, it is described the conditioning method and characteristics of the cement, sand, concrete mixer and the recipe. Should be understood that drums will be provided by NEK?. Should be understood that the conditioning process should be performed on site (Krsko) with existing mixer and materials from NEK?
Question 2: Is section 7 some general radiological data is provided. It is also said that specific activity concentration of each isotope (per drum) will be provided to the Bider. However this detailed information can not be found in the tender documentation. This data is critical to verify waste acceptance criteria of our incinerator. Is it possible to have the announced information for each 53 drums?
Question 3: Section 7.4 refers to 100 liter drums instead of the 120 liter drums requested in previous sections. Please confirm the requested size of the inner drum that shall content the secondary waste.
Question 4: Section 8.1 request the bidder to be authorized for incineration activities. Would it be acceptable to involve the incinerator as a subcontractor, in such a way that the license holder will be the incineration company and not the bidder itself?
Question 5: As per section 9.1 incineration shall be done in 2021. Considering deadlines of the biding process, necessary administrative steps to perform legal agreements for waste acceptance between counties, international transportation and other administrative constraints, it is not realistic to execute the incineration in 2021, unless a predefined bidder had this paper-work ready in advance. Is it possible to extent the date for accomplish the incineration?
Question 6: The responses on the questions above have influence on our technical and commercial proposal. Therefore, we would appreciate if the deadline for presenting the proposal can be extended for two additional weeks.

ODGOVOR/RESPONSE:
Ad. 1: NEK will provide 200 l Drums, while we expect from the bidder to provide 100 l drums. As it is required in TS section 7, the Bidder shall provide nationally approved references about technology of packaging of incineration products, provide a copy of the certificate for solidifying material, determine gamma emitters and TRU isotopes in the final packages. The conditioning process should not be performed on-site in Krsko.
Ad. 2: Radioactive waste data for 53 drums are part of the Technical Specification, Attachment 14.2
Ad. 3: The requested size of the inner drum that shall content the secondary waste is 100 l, with the following features: - Materials: steel - Outside Diameter: 460 Inside Diameter: 458 - Outside Height: 700 Inside Height: 680 - Wall Thickness: 1 Useful Volume: .113 - Gasket Material: EPDM O12 mm (foam rubber profil) - Lid Closure: Ring with bolt M 10x120 (DIN 912)
Ad. 4: It is allowed for the Bidder to have subcontractor(s). The requirements are described in Chapter 1 of the bidding documentation (more details in Section D and Subsection 23). In case of subcontracting certain activities required per the TS, all parties involved have to satisfy technical and quality criteria required in the bidding documentation.
Ad. 5: Yes, we agree. Hereby, we extend the date for accomplish the incineration till the end of the year 2022.
Ad. 6: The deadline for submittal of the bids will be extended for two additional weeks i. e. till December 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
